Free Relationship Advice

Family and Friends

One of the best sources of free relationship advice is usually right in front of you. Friends and family are often in an excellent position to give free relationship advice. Since they are outside observers, they have a better view of how you and your partner behave towards each other and conduct your relationship. Because of this outside perspective, they may well be able to offer insights that you might never otherwise have been aware of. For example, they may notice that you shut down whenever there is the slightest indication of a conflict or disagreement and refuse to communicate openly with your partner. By pointing this out and suggesting different ways of handling conflict your friends and family might be able to help you.

Don’t forget about your older relatives. They are especially good to turn to when you need free relationship advice simply because they already have a lifetime of personal experience.

Communicate With Your Partner

Even with all this free relationship advice available, it may be useless if you can’t talk openly to your partner without arguing. When one partner does not know how the other thinks and feels they are left fumbling around in the dark and the relationship is doomed to fail. Always make the effort to talk candidly yet kindly to your partner about the things you want from the relationship and how certain things make you feel. Your partner will never know that you wanted them to do something differently if you never mention it to them. Remember, during the heat of an argument is often not the best time to talk about such matters, take a break and address it when you are both relaxed and in good (or better) moods.
